August 2011
The tap shoes have arrived!
Thank you Grandpa Jim and Bonnie!
Bonnie found a dance place in Florida going out of business and found tap shoes for a great price. She decided to buy a pair and send them to Claire. I talked to Claire about maybe taking a tap/ballet class this fall, but she's a little hung up on Miss Kelley not being her teacher if she tapped instead of did ballet... we're going to keep at it and see if she'll change her mind- I think she's got some talent! :) LOL :)!
We all got a good laugh and then we had to put them away for sanity's sake-but not before Caroline got a shake at it too!

1 Year Later...July 2011
So, I've been really bad about updating this blog, but I'm going to make it a point to take the time to do it more often. I'll try to do some flashbacks, but for now- we'll stay in the present time.
Claire and Caroline are growing like crazy. They both love the girly stuff like shoes, dresses, brushes, barrettes, dancing- all that good stuff. Claire spent a week at Princess Academy at the beginning of July. It was four days in a week from 9:30-12:00. I thought she'd have a hard time leaving Mommy, but she did a fantastic job and loved everything she did each day- I'm so proud!
While Claire was at Princess Academy, I found it mind-boggling how easy it was to have just one kiddo in tow. Caroline and I were able to go to the grocery, do some shopping for family pictures, run errands- it seemed nuts to be able to do things so easily!
Here are some pictures of the Fourth of July, Princess Academy, the Golf Outing, and some other cute one we have taken!
This is Claire before her Princess Academy show- so big! Mommy had a little tear when they got started. Aaron just rolled his eyes at me.
Caroline rocking on Grandpa Neil and Grandma Becky's porch. "Rocka-rock, rocka-rock" as she would say.
Fourth of July outfits.
We had all of our fun in Westfield on July 3rd, but the girls still rocked out their red, white, and blue on the 4th too!
This is Claire at the golf course- I think she ran a few miles that day chasing everyone around!
Caroline- her happy self ready for church one morning.
Claire had her first s'more and her first sleepover with her cousin Anna at Grandma Becky's house! Lovin' the outdoor life. Later that evening, they managed to cover themselves in sidewalk chalk!
This highlight of the weekend is getting Grandpa Neil to take the kids on a hay ride behind the tractor. I still insist that Caroline likes to be the littlest one because she gets to rid up front with Grandpa!
Claire at the splash park, though she wasn't sure about getting wet.
This is Caroline at the Splash Park- she did NOT want to be wet, but loved to play with her paint brush and walk around checking other people out.
I don't know why I like this picture, but it makes me smile. Caroline has her tongue out at me. It's not to be mean, but just to show me where it is... I think. Claire had just told her to not stick out her tongue and then, to get Caroline to smile for the picture, Claire sticks out her tongue at Caroline and this is what I get.

This summer is going by very quickly and I hate to see it come to an end, but when school starts on August 8th, you can't help but feel a little slighted on a summer! Though I can't say staying home is the EASIEST thing to do, I will say that I do love it most days! :)
