October 2008

Claire is still a smiley, happy baby. She has been spending a lot of her time getting in to things and being told "no" more often than she would like. The last few weeks have been tough. She had two ear infections at the end of September and then it seems as though they never healed and has two now as well.

Bless her heart though, she's still as happy as she always was. The times that I took her into the doctor, she was as happy as a lark, made me think she was fine.

New Hat
I could not resist this hat with matching gloves for the winter. When it got cold for a few days, I wanted to make sure she had something on her head when we went out for a walk or a run. This is too warm for now, but will be perfect later!

Making a tent with Daddy at Grandma Carolyn's house.
Mom made the Halloween blanket for Claire and one morning while visiting in Upland, I knew Aaron and Claire were in the house somewhere and I went looking for them. I found them both in the tent in the middle of the living room floor "whispering." Claire does this funny whisper while she says "buh buh, buh buh." We're not sure what it means, but it makes us whisper back!
Happy girl!
This is one of the cutest outfits that we received.
She can pull off the melon color... Mommy is not able to do so!
Miss Nibby
She is in to everything! Her favorite things to do: (even though she knows we're going to tell her "no") spitting noises, playing with the entertainment table, pulling herself up on her car seat, chewing on the coffee table, and using the table leg to pull herself up.
It's getting harder and harder to take a still picture of Claire. She notices the camera and goes straight for it before you can get the picture taken! When I try to get her to smile or make a face at me, she crawls away... apparently she's got places to go, people to see... things to do.
Daddy's is the Funniest!
Is this the cutest picture? She's laughing with Daddy. When Aaron walks through the door from work, her face lights up. She loves to see her Daddy come home. She thinks he's a crack-up! I keep telling her he doesn't need an audience... but it still melts my heart.

Have you seen this? I always tell Aaron that this will be him someday- makes me laugh!
Isn't it the funniest?

Reminiscing: These are just some pictures we've never posted before. Claire turned eight months on October 17- can you believe it? She continues be as happy as ever! Her new favorite is pointing at things to get us to look. She also enjoys shaking her head no. Though, when we tell her no, she either throws a fit or laughs.

Cousins
The Daly family headed to Disney World this month! This is just the sweetest picture of all four with their big smiles! They had an awesome time! Her cousins continue to be her favorite people (Luke, Jack, Evan, and Anna)!
Cousins and Labor Day Weekend
Swimming Labor Day weekend! Ben and Jocelyn came over to Grandma Carolyn's house to swim and hang out. They are both little fish! Claire loved to watch them swim and splash around. She got in to join the fun, but we're not posting pictures of Mommy in the pool! Ah.. the joy of having your own blog...
"Miss J"
This is little Miss Jocelyn. She is so lovey on Claire. Every other Wednesday, Claire goes to stay with Aunt 'Net. Ben is now in kindergarten, so it's usually Annette, Claire, and Jocelyn. Jocelyn loves to help by holding Claire's bottle, kissing on her, and giving her medicine. She's just as sweet as she can be- though she's in trouble often! Who could resist this face? Ben (pictured above) is also pretty protective of "Baby Claire." He'll go up to Aaron and say "why are you kissing on my Baby Claire?" It's all very sweet!
February 2008
Do you recognize this face?
I can hardly believe that she was ever this small! I can remember when Aaron and I would look at her in her crib and say that it was just going to swallow her up. However, just the other day, I peeked on her during her sleep and she looked so big in that crib... it just breaks my heart!

February 2008- Remember the fuzzy ear? She had fuzz on her ear for months- it was hard to get a picture of it, but it was pretty cute!February 2008- The first few moments of life!

February 2008- Look at that sad face. :( She was under the lights for jaundice and so, so sleepy. Again, so small! Just hard to imagine the little butterball that is on the go now was just so teeny!
